We have enjoyed Casa Loma many times but they must have had an off week at our last visit. We were looking forward to having dinner on the deck and when we arrived there were plenty of tables available outside. The hostess immediately started to lead us to a table inside and when we inquired about sitting on the deck, she stated they were no longer seating and we would have to eat inside but when we left, every table on the deck was full! Please don't tell me you're no longer seating on the deck when there are tables available and you fill them after I am seated inside! The lighting inside is much too bright. Lower the lights to create more ambiance and calm down the congestion of your waiters running into each other outside of the kitchen door. Our food arrived cold and then when we received our check, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our ticket for a party of 4 adults and 1 child. When we inquired about this we were told by the waiter that house policy is that the automatic 20% is added for a party of 5 or more. This visit has certainly jaded our thoughts about this restaurant that has been a very nice experience in the past. I hope management will take the time for additional training of their staff and make this the great restaurant that this area certainly needs.
