G.B. Russo & Son is a WONDERFUL specialty food and wine store!! Every time I go there, I have a great shopping experience! I'm a beer and wine connoisseur, and they have the best variety and cheapest prices around. I enjoy the aroma of the fresh bread and spices in the store too! They just expanded and remodeled, doubling their size and product selection! Their home-made deli and frozen food selection has gotten even bigger; they have an organic, gluten-free, and all natural section now; and they have TONS of food from all over the world there! No other store around, especially the larger chain stores, compare. This place is a ""mom-and-pop"" shop with a delicious gourmet international food and wine selection. You would think that all gourmet food stores are going to be more expensive that the big box stores, but they really aren't! Yet, with Michigan's crappy economy, and the ever-rising Euro, unfortunately nothing is going to be cheap these days! That's an even better reason to shop there- they are a locally owned family business (that I think has been open for over a century!), and shopping at places like that will help support Michigan's economy! What I really like about them is that they are small and family-owned, so you feel more welcome there and they have caring and helpful employees that will give you a more personalized shopping experience. I would recommend them to anyone that enjoys fine food and wine, along with a great shopping experience!
