Review content:
My dog walked into the grooming room but after three hours with the groomer, he had to be carried out by one of the store's staff. My dog is 13 years old and is actually quite active for an old dog with arthritis in his back hips. I warn all groomers that he has these problems so they know they might have to give him an extra boost or care. When I picked him up, he was panting heavily and breathing somewhat erratically. The groomer put him on the ground and he couldn't even stand up. It took 2-3 days for him to recover and walk normal again -- he is fine now. I still have no idea what happened though I have heard from more than one source that they wash dogs and leave them wet in crates with cement ground. Besides this (which was my first concern) he got a horrible cut -- he's a Standard Poodle. I agreed to have his legs shaved down but when I got there she was shaving all of the hair off his ears. She said that they were matted (which they were not) but I have been to enough groomers to know that shaving is the lazy way out of grooming (in most cases.) On the positive side, the STORE employs nice people and they have a great selection of food.
Pros: Food selection and employees
Cons: Groomer
