Review content:
My hamster, Maggie the Aggie, was very old and suffering with a tumor. After watching her bleeding tumor triple in size in a week, it became obvious that tumor removal was the only chance she had at survival. I had already taken her to a Phoenix vet who refused to do surgery on her. I called different animal clinics who all turned me down as well. Finally found All Creatures, and brought her in right away. Maggie was seen by Dr. Robert Matyjaszek who performed her operation beautifully. He sealed the operation site with a special tissue bonding glue and took the time to put her stitches inside the wound so she wouldn't rip them out. He patiently listened to our needs and concerns, answering both my questions and my 10 year old sons. The very next morning, he personally called our home to make sure Maggie was doing well. As a side note, the receptionists and technicians were attentive, loving, helpful, and took time when we spoke with them to sympathize with Maggie's plight. They even knew how to hold her just right so that she wasn't scared, and didn't bite during examination. Need I also mention that they use special tiny rodent size masks for administering anesthesia for hamster surgery? I also discovered they had successfully performed a guinea pig c-section the same day as Maggie's operation. Thank you All Creatures Animal Hospital for exceeding our expectations, and giving an old hammie a second chance!
