Review content:
I had a few positive reviews about this place and was looking forward to going (i had received a $100 gift certificate as a gift.....if it was my own money I would have demanded a refund and walked out in 5min). However, this place was SO bad I was stunned. I have warned everyone I know that gets these services to make sure to avoid this place!!!
They didn't have to be really friendly, but you shouldn't be treated with contempt when you go to a spa!!
I would have complained to the manager/owner, but she just talked on her cell phone the whole time and didn't seem to really care anyway so i didn't bother. You can get so much better service and treatment from people who actually know what they are doing for much less. Here is an indication of what kind of place this is: they sell nice products there, but in the dressing area they have Tre semme and a few other cheap products that you can get at CVS for their clients to use. WHO DOES THIS????
I arrived 10min early for my appointment and was assigned to a woman named Venus for a massage. Within a few minutes it was VERY apparent that she had little experience giving a massage. SHE CONSTANTLY HAD TO BE REMINDED WHAT WAS A MUSCLE AND WHAT WAS A BONE!!!. She definitely seemed to hate what she was doing.....not a relaxing experience. She also had hot stones but she had no idea how to use them. It was clear that she had no idea what she was doing--I have had students with little experience give me a massage that were much better. Then after she put on the hot stones, she told me to get dressed right then while she waited for me outside the door (this is after 10min of what was supposed to be a 1/2hr massage). The hot stones were the only relaxing thing about the whole experience and she wanted me to get up right away?!? Every time i have had a massages done somewhere they let you lay down for awhile, but apparently not here. I get dressed and then I am served warm tap water with lemon. She seemed impatient with me for taking too long to get up and get dressed. This was a $50 massage.....I was going to get my 1/2 hr whether they liked it or not!!!
I wanted to leave right then, but i thought I should use the rest of of gift certificate. The "deluxe" pedicure I received ended up looking pretty good and did last a long time, but the woman who performed it was much too rough even after I asked her to be more careful repeatedly. She was in such a hurry even though there was only one other customer in there. This is what you get for a $50 deluxe pedicure: they soak your feet for a few minutes, gouge you with clippers and nail files then paint your toe nails. Again, I have had much better service for $15. These people would be better off working on cars because they don't seem to like people very much!
