Review content:
I've been to many Spa in my life and this place is everything but a Spa! First, your "spa" experience will start by a cold welcoming from the less friendly receptionist I've ever seen, sitting at the coldest front desk I've ever seen. She was extremely rude, made me feel like I was disturbing and only cared for my money (the only words she addressed were to sell me their products).
As for my experience with Mrs. Landa, it was even worst! You will sit in a bright white room as she interrogates you and insists on selling you extra services, then lie on a massage table with no padding (thanks for the comforting spa experience) and receive your treatment as she constantly speak to her "assistant" in Portuguese (how rude is it to talk to someone else in a language I cannot understand right in my face!). During the treatment (I received microdermabrasion) she tried again to sell me other services (15$ extra to do my eyes, $20 extra for my neck) which I find absolutely un professional and made me fell like I was at a McDonald more than at a Spa.
The treatment itself sucked: a normal microdermabrasion should normally last 30 minutes. I was done after less than 10 minutes (that she timed on a kitchen timer by the way, nothing like hearing a buzzer goes on to tell you that you "Spa" service is over!). On top of things, she was 45 minutes late so I waited 45 minutes to get the third of the treatment I paid for!
Last IMPORTANT detail to my "wonderful Spa experience", Mrs. Landa tried to sell me a salicylic acid treatment which I refused based on the fact that I may be pregnant and that both my OB and dermatologist told me not to use any salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide cream on my skin during my pregnancy. Mrs. Landa literally laughed at me saying that salicylic acid was not dangerous when applied on the skin (is there other way to use it than to apply on the skin anyway???). Sorry, but I'll trust my doctors before I trust you, specially that you're obviously trying to sell me anything you can, whether or not it is appropriate for me.
TRUST ME, THIS PLACE SUCKS! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!! DON'T GO THERE!
