The Hong Kong in Nampa has long been one of our favorite take-out restaurants. It's one of those no-frills kind of places where the food is really good, the wait isn't long, the price is reasonable, and everyone is happy. I've never been thrilled with the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. It's not a fine dining experience by any means. But there are many, like us, who could probably keep the restaurant open on take-out orders alone.
Our favorite standing order: mandarin chicken with fried rice with extra sauce for the rice. If you want something spicy without breading, so with spicy chicken. Be conservative with how hot you ask them to make it. Their mild is still pretty hot for my family.
My stars for this restaurant are based on take-out alone.
