McDade Park, in Scranton Pa is a wonderful park for family or group visits. There are tables for picnicking, fields for playing all sorts of games, and a lovely playground. It is conveniently located, clean, and safe. It is also located near the Coal Mine Tour and Anthracite Heritage Museums, making this a wonderful place to stop before or after to make the day even better. This is also a great place for homeschool and other groups for hold informal meetings -- lots of room for children to play, and for parents to sit, talk, and enjoy each other's company. It's a nice place to visit.
