I have been attending Northview Community Church for 6 years now. I find the people there very friendly and welcoming. It is a Baptist Church. I'm not sure of the actual technicalities of the affiliation.
The Northview church office is located in Mill Creek, but services are held at Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School in Silver Lake (S. Everett).
Once a month there is a Family Mealtime after the service where the church provides the main dish and people sign up to bring side dishes and desserts. Also, on Sunday mornings there is coffee, juice and treats available (donations encouraged in both cases to cover the costs). People are also able to sign up to bring treats for the breakfast table.
They sing a mixture of mostly contemporary worship and some hymns - probably a 9 to 1 ratio. Contemporary worship would be: Michael W. Smith, Third Day, Hillsong, Matt Redman, David Crowder Band, etc.
The pastor, Steve Michiels (formerly of Northshore Baptist) is people and relationship oriented, while being very careful to stick tight to biblical priciples.
If you are looking for a church in the Everett/Mill Creek area, I highly recommend Northview Community.
