I contacted Patton's via the email form on their website Friday in search of a caterer for my wedding. I waited a few days and didn't get a response. I figured that since it was the weekend maybe they hadn't gotten to it or maybe they never got it. So, I called that Monday morning and was told someone would get back to me when they got into the office later that day. I called twice late in the afternoon and no answer (so I left a message). I still didn't get a response or a call back. I called the next day and spoke to someone else who apologized and said they would get on that and send me an email with information. I explained that my venue provided a staff and buffet tables and serving dishes/etc. and if it was possible, I would like a custom quote so I don't have to pay for those things twice (with the venue and the caterer). She said she would see what she could do and shoot me an email.
I STILL never received anything. No emails. No phone calls, no questions. Nothing.
I just called back, was transferred to a different line, and was then told they can't provide wedding catering "without the staff" because they've never done that before. I can understand that. So I asked about getting a whole package, including the staff and dishes etc. etc. etc. (even though I don't want to pay for staff and serving dishes/utensils TWICE). She said they won't do it at all because it's too far from them.
After all this time, no one could contact me and tell me that? I have caterers from New Orleans, Covington, and Pass Christian (all of which are farther from my venue than Patton's) that will travel and try to work with me and give me quotes... but Patton's can't even give me a call to tell me they can't/ won't?
I'm really disappointed. I was really hoping they could work with me because their menu is so wonderful and so perfect for what we want. I'm also disappointed that I had to chase them down and contact them so many times to be told flat out no.
