When I go to a spa, I believe I'll receive a bit of pampering. Seven of us had appointments for manicures and pedicures for my niece's wedding. I was very disappointed with the service provided and even more so when I found out what they were charging me ($24 for manicure, if that's what you want to call it). No soaking or cleaning the nails with the manicure. She pretty much filed and painted my nails with a little push-back of the cuticles using an orangewood stick and rubbing on some lotion. I could have done the same thing at home watching TV. The first nail polish I chose was bad (I even inquired about its thickness as she was applying it) and dried with little bubbles. I had to choose a different polish. I re-filed one crooked nail on the sly. One of my nieces had French polish and it looked like there was a line below the white tips because her technician didn't clean under her nails either. The pedicure was just as lame (lamer for $41). Very light massage on only the feet. The ""vibrating"" pedicure chairs are uncomfortable. My mom said she couldn't get comfortable either. To top it off, they have to nerve to add 20% to your bill for a tip. I would not recommend this ""spa?"".
