They charged $69 for a service call to check my A/C unit and I am fine with that. He remove about 8 screws and said I needed a capacitor and that would be $302. He put one on (not a factory replacement part) and my A/C works. The problem I have is the mark-up profit they have for the capacitor. Way out of line. Anyone can buy the same capacitor at a cost between $18 and $57. I figure they paid about $15 at most for the part. The technician said he had already replaced 5 capacitors and it was only just after noon. I've got a really bad taste in my mouth from this experience.
