We booked this hotel on line a couple of days before we turned up and selected the jacuzzi room. The lovely lady on reception said ""you will love this room"" and she was right! It was huge, but cosy with a large fire in the corner and a fabulous jacuzzi which just made it perfect. Outside on the balcony there were squirrels and chipmunks, birds and an unidentified furry animal (like a prairie dog perhaps) and the river running by. The hotel is away from the main road in downtown Gatlinburg but within easy walking distance of bars, shops and restaurants if you are reasonably fit. We had a brilliant time and found everyone to be very friendly. We would definitely stay there again, provided we could have that room
