I am not a member so this probably isn't all that helpful. I will say, though, from my interactions at the interviews, everyone was professional and courteous, and I never felt like I was being misled. (Although the interviewer said the ratio was 30% guys to 70% girls). The woman showed me the sheet with the cost of the membership options, and of the few events she showed me on her computer, the prices were all visible, and, membership dues aside, it all seemed pretty reasonable. And when I explained that the membership price was completely out of my price range, she was very understanding and courteous about it, didn't pressure me any further, and shook my hand when I left.\r

My personal hunch is that Events and Adventures is a ton of fun, but also a ton of money, kind of like a junior version of a country club (entry interviews and screening, membership fees, private networks; there really are a lot of similarities). For a lot of people, including me, its not worth the money. But for some people it is, so lets not trash something that we haven't actually tried.
