Wilkin & Son Heating & Cooling was the previous name of this business if I'm not mistaken. Once run by the seior Mr. Wilkin as Wikin & Son, it is now run by the son David Wilkin, as.L & B Heating & Cooling in Brighton, Michigan.
My past experience with the senior Mr. Wilking was in the installation (sub-contracted) of our heating & cooling systems in our home via our builder in 04. Mr Wikin did an excellent job. Quality work.Mr. Wikin is now retired. His Son David now operates the business out of Brighton, Michigan. I do not recommend his services!!!
My recent experience with David Wilkins (L & B Heating & Cooling) ended up in court. David Wikins was and is dishonest in his business dealings. He inflated his material costs for a recent job and was caught in court trying to pass along the cost of materials he did not use in the work he did for me. I was taken to court by David because he wanted me to pay $300.00 for a gas line that Consumers Energy would have put in for $125.00. His material cost alone was quoted at $180.00. I got a verbal estimate ($250.00 - 270.00) half way thru the job. I did not get an invoice showing the cost until months later and that was $300.00.
The issue: I received approximately nine feet of gas line in this job and he tried to bill me for 20 feet... $125.00 to be more accurate. $125.00 for nine feet of flexible gas line. Rediculous!!!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING L&B Heating & Cooling ( David Wilkin) of Brighton, Michigan.
Not an honest or reputable business in my opinion.
