WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I had a 3 yr old fridge that was covered under an extended warranty, and Superior Electronics happened to be the only place in the area who would repair it due to difficulty finding parts. The repairman came out on a friday, spent 15 minutes looking at my fridge, ""decided"" he knew what was wrong (even after I told him exactly what the problems were) and then left. It took SE until the following tueday to even send the repair quote back to the warranty company, from which they got an almost immediate OK from. It took SE another 2 days (thursday) to even order the parts in. I called the following tuesday wondering what was going on with the parts, and was told some of the parts weren't shipped out yet, and they ddin't know where they were, or if they were backordered, and basically couldn't give me an answer. They FINALLY got all of the parts in and scheduled an appointment for that thursday or friday (2 weeks after their initial visit, and 2 weeks without a fridge). The repairman came, did his work, and then told me he had to go out to his car real quick, and at that point I heard very loud vibrations coming from the fridge. He came back in and told me the compressor fan was also broken and he didn't have the part so he would have to go back to the shop and came back to install a different day. Which I found quite curious because part of my original complaint was that the fan and fan/motor had stopped working, and why he only ordered the fan motor and didn't order a replacement fan (a $4 part) in the 1st place was ridiculous. So he left, and I decided to clean out the ""NEW"" ice machine bucket because 1 of my issues was that the ice bucket was ALWAYS grinding the ice before dispensing and would always make a mess. I take the ice bucket to my sink to wipe it out, and find ice cubes inside of it,..... so apparently he dismissed that issue also when I told him about it. He decided to order/replace the ice cube MAKER only, and not the ice cube bucket/dispenser. I immediately called the warranty company, completely irate about Superior Electronics inferior service, and they decided to cancel all service orders with SE, and cut me a check to replace the fridge. Superior's customer service at the office was rude, and their customer service in-home seems to be ill-equipped to listen to customers issues, and order the correct parts the 1st time. I Would definately discourage EVERYONE from ever using Superior Electronics.
Any company who can't turn around a repair on a major appliance, ESPECIALLY a fridge in less than a week, let alone 2 weeks, should be closed for good.
