I received a 10 percent off coupon for my next Home Depot purchase in the mail. When I tried to redeem the coupon the cashier said that I could not use it becasue my purchases included a Special Order. I asked that she ring the Special Order separately from the other merchandise so I could still use the coupon as it would still have saved me about $60. The cashier saud she couldn't cancel my transaction once she began to enter it in the register. She called over the manager and she also said that they couldn't cancel my transaction and I couldn't use the coupon for my eligable purchases. \r

A few days earlier, at the same location, I tried to place a special order and the associate said that I could not during the weekend and that he would followup on Monday and call me about my options for placing the special order. Monday came and went and I heard nothing. When I went into the store again and talked to the same associate, he had not remembered me or that he was suppossed to call me back.\r

The employees did not say they were sorry or show any empathy to my situation. I e-mailed the store manager and corporate about my bad customer service experiences and never received a reply. Fortunately, there is another hardware store just a few miles in the other direction that I will be taking my business to in the future.
