Empire Lakewood Nissan has restored my faith in the auto dealer/service industry!
I purchased my first new vehicle from them back in 1992. I lived in Steamboat at the time, so it wasn't feasible to use them for service, but the buying experience was stellar. So much so that we bought a used car for my son years later from them. Then we bought our Murano from them in 2006, and since we live down here now, we have serviced it there ever since. One time we made the mistake of having our brakes serviced from a discount break company that was closer to our home, and a little less expensive....bad move. It ended up costing way more in the long run.
The real reason I am writing this review is because of the most recent experience I had with Empire Lakewood Nissan. My 2006 Murano had it's engine go out at 119,000 miles. It was no longer under warranty, and it was going to cost approx $10K for a new engine! Since we still owe a hefty amount on it, I was actually considering repossession. However, my heroes at Empire stepped up and found me a used engine, discounted the labor, and even discovered a part that had an extended warranty that needed replacing so that I now qualified for a rental car.
In today's world, it is rare to find such over-the-top customer service. I've received it from Empire Lakewood Nissan on several occasions now, so it's not a fluke. It starts from the top and filters down to everyone there. I will be a customer for life.
