Monday afternoon I dropped my vehicle off at Cheshire because I had scheduled an appointment on Tuesday to have snow tires put on and my brake light was coming on. I had asked if my car could be ready between 3 and 4 pm on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday around 10 because I hadn't heard re: the brake light diagnosis. I was told ""We've been trying to get in touch with you (I had been sitting at my desk all morning.) I was told my brake line needed to be flushed. I asked again to have the car ready between 3 and 4. I called back at 3:30. When I asked if I could come and get my car ~ I was told by ""Bill"" ""That shouldn't be a problem"" (which means what?). I pressed further and said, ""Do I have your word that if I leave work right now the car will be ready when I get there."" He said yes.
I got there 15 minutes later. My car was not even in the building and I was told the brake line had not even been worked on yet!!!!!! They said they would give me a ride back to work. I said I wanted my car - they began work on it immediately. The manager gave me excuses like, ""we are way too busy"", ""there were too many customers today with the same last name as yours - we got confused."" The place was chaos! The people behind the counter couldn't even find my original paper work. How comfortable does that make me feel?
I am sorry to say that after 12 years of using Cheshire Tire for my vehicle service needs I do not feel confident in their ability to keep me and my car safe! I will go elsewhere in Keene.
