I have been a member of Savannah Christian Church for 33 Years, and I have witnessed first hand it's tremendous growth. I have to admit that when I first attended the new church at the Henderson Campus I was overwhelmed at the size and thought wow this is just too big, But once I was inside settled in my seat, the lights dimmed and I felt as if it was just me and God and The Pastor and the Worship team! I worshiped and sang just for God and I listened to the teachings as if they were directed just to me!! If you can make it through the front doors and once you find a seat open your heart and listen and you will find that personal relationship with God that will change your life for good!! You can't go in focusing on what you don't like or what you feel uncomfortable about because then you lose sight of what is most important, GOD!!! We are all sinners not one single person in that church is perfect, and we have people from all different backgrounds and income brackets but that is not what gets you into heaven, that is not what makes us Christian! If we were all perfect then we would not need Jesus because we would just float right into heaven no questions asked and the world would be a better place don't you think?? Sure there will be some sermons that make you uncomfortable about activities that you participate in or make you re-evaluate your life, but God never said being a Christian meant getting approval for everything you do, no you have to make changes in your life, accept the wrong and change bad habits and those sermons help you understand how to make those changes and work at being a better servent to Christ we as Christans will always be a work in progress but as long as we are learning and trying to change this is what helps us grow to a closer relationship with God!! No matter what size your church is or how many people attend that church the most important thing is that they are preaching and teaching the truth straight from the Bible!! You will always have gossip and those poeple who think they are better than you in every church no matter where you attend, but don't let those people be the ones that detour you from your close relationship with God they will have to answer to Him at a later time!! Savannah Christian Church also has a phenomenal Kids program and a wonderful youth group with tons of activities for your children to attend!! This church has so much to offer for every age or situation that you or your family might be in, so open your heart, take a deep breath and come on in, it will change your life for the better and help you learn to have a closer relationship with God!!
Pros: Great Sermons, Wonderful Music/Worship Time!!
Cons: That when People visit they expect everyone to be Perfect!!
