Now, I hesitated reviewing Falafel Palace because I've only been there once....but I was delighted by my first visit and decided to go for it. Plus, I can amend a review, right? My first visit to Falafel Palace was a little worrisome. It was 2:55am (they close at 3) and the line was nearly out the door. Would I get to the counter in time? Gasp! I did indeed, and though they were only offering the vegetarian wraps at the time, it was no bother to me as I was going with the falafel and hummus wrap anyway. One other bummer: the credit card machine was down, so I had to make a quick decision about whether to have the added cost of hummus on my falafel, lest I not have enough cash for my cab ride. The two men behind the counter were great - joking and smiling - even though it was 5 minutes before closing time and they surely wanted to be done for the night. The sandwich was delicious (and I'm sure I'm not just saying this because I was starving at 3am); I don't think I said more than 3 words to my friends on the cab ride home -- and the words were likely ""mmmm,"" ""falafel,"" ""goooooood."" I think my new late night grub spot is now Falafel Palace. Sorry, Hi -Fi!
