I began attending Savannah Christian Church in 2004 after twelve years at another church where I did not feel like I was truly a part of the "Family of God". The first four years I sat in the very back of the church and would leave during the alter call. I did not feel plugged in and struggled with going or not some weekends. In 2008 my husband was laid off from work, both of my parents were in the hospital, I was afraid I was losing my home and my sanity not to mention going through the change of life. I wrote a note on one of the comment cards at church sharing what was going on and ending it with "stick a fork in me, I'm done!" I had two of the loveliest ladies reach out to me and help me to get involved with a ladies group. I have found my place at Savannah Christian's Celebrate Recovery Group in that it is their for people who struggle with hurts, habits and hang-ups (which I have all three).
