Add another disappointment to the Detroit east-side restaurant scene. The waterfront location is a big plus and a big draw, but everything else is atrocious. Our recent experience mirrors that of the previous post -- indifferent service (""I'd like a Labatt's Blue."" ""OK, a Labatt's Light?"" ""A Labatt's Blue."" ""Oh. OK."") and truly awful food. I ordered beef medallions, posted on the menu above a very specifically worded paragraph setting the house standards of doneness for beef. I ordered it medium-rare, which should have been pink-to-red, with a cool center, and it came well done -- not a hint of pink, and the sauce, advertised as a port-wine reduction, looked like canned gravy. The roasted potatoes tasted like they'd been sitting in the warmer for three days, and even the salad was just OK. I got the impression the money and effort went into the outdoor swimming pool/bar, but the single bar-food item we ordered (onion rings) were just as bad. I think we ate two. The waitress, taking away our half-eaten entrees, made no inquiries about whether we were satisfied. \r \r A member of the management team was table-hopping and talking to customers, but bogged down at the one next to ours and never made it over. By this point we just wanted to put the place behind us.\r \r Gordon Ramsey would fire the staff, redecorate and start from scratch. Listening him dress everyone down would be something I'd tune in for. Pros: Location, location, location Cons: Everything else. more
