we used to live on the westside and would gravitate towards don antonio's on pico whenever we craved tacos and margaritas. now that we're in the sgv, goodbye don antonio's and hello carambas! how can you disagree with $3.75 margaritas?! service is quick and easy and they're flexible with combo additions. i always get the flautas, which are hot and crunchy, though the tamales are just right saucy and moist. the rice and beans, which are simple enough, are always my marker for a good mexican restaurant. caramba's does both well.
Pros: cozy hole-in-the-wall feeling, consistently good food
Cons: parking can be a bit trying and they need bigger tvs!
