Back in 1963 my husband and I lived in Denver, originally from Corpus Christi, Tx.
We got hooked on Mountaineer hamburgers, it had this very special sauce and a sesame seed bun. We come from a town that had a very popular burger called the Whataburger, it was on it's origins back then, now very popular Tx burger. We have visited Denver a few times since then but have not found this AMAZING burger place. My mouth still waters when I think of this remarkable tasting burger. I have searched the internet to no avail. Is it POSSIBLE that this place or burger no longer exist?? I cannot believe that this place would go "belly up"!!?? Can someone out there help enlighten us over here in Tx?
