My husband and I don't get to go on a ""date night"" very often so we are very choosy about where we go. We had a great experience at the Homestead in Londonderry. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for a table (prime time on a Friday night), but we hung out in the lounge upstairs with a drink and the time went by quickly. We could have been seated immediately in the lounge (which is very nice and relaxing) but we chose to wait for a table outside. I had a meatloaf in a puff pastry which I was skeptical about, but it was fabulous. The service was attentive enough without being overbearing. I will definitely go back.
Pros: nice atmosphere, very down to earth, great service
Cons: don't eat the crackers, wait for the bread!
