We were attending the Arts & Ideas performance of Aurelia?s Oratorio on Saturday afternoon and looking for a quick lunch. I read favorable comments on the Ivy Noodle so we decided to give it a try. Though the decor was minimal, service was both patient and efficient. We started off with steamed veggies (choy san) with oyster sauce ($3.75) which was both extremely fresh looking and tasty. The waiter next brought an order of scallion pancakes ($3) shortly followed by sesame wonton (8) in hot oil. The latter were just fantastic. Highly recommended for those seeking a quick, low cost meal in New Haven.
Pros: delicious food, inexpensive, quick service
Cons: minimal decor, tends to be crowded during school year
