This is a beautiful place to spend a weekend afternoon with friends or family! The water is freezing cold, so I don't usually go in, but it's fun to sit and watch the others frollicking in the springs. The water is clear near the springs, with less visibility as you canoe down the creek. We usually take a cooler with lunch and stop along the way to pic nic in the canoe under the shade of the trees hanging over the creek. There's not really a place to stop and eat on the shore, so we enjoy eating in our canoe. it's fun with a group if you don't have a schedule to keep and make sure you have plenty to eat and drink. There's private property along the creek, so don't plan on stopping to explore along the way. I have to admit, I got a little scared along the way when we were the only boats, but any detour you take will lead out to the main creek immediately. There's an area at the end where the van will pick you up and take you back to the beginning, but I'd recommend dropping a ve
