After suffering through 3 bad restaurants over the last 9 years, the Nob/Russian Hill neigbhors are celebrating the arrival of Rue St. Jacques w/ relief & excitment. Actually, we are rubbing our tummies in contentment! Though there is no sign on its door yet, it already has a loyal following of neighbors, including Willie Brown. The menu is very French, rich and absolutely delicious. With entrees like filet mignon with seared foie gras bits and sauce, please, for your heart's sake, wash it down with a glass of red from their selection of over 100 CA and French wines. Very attentive and friendly service! Owners Eric and Sylvain personally remodeled the space with their own hands. The neighbors' biggest worry now: once the word gets out, parking will be even worse! So, please be kind to the neighbors and take the Hyde Street cable car to Rue St. Jacques.
