225 is a nice place with a lot of potential. The food is presented well and the service is great. 225 has a great wine / beer list, and the ambience is nice. However, I was disappointed with the tri tip we ordered for dinner. I was expecting more than just three smallish strips on the plate. I was also expecting it to be hot.
I was let down. But the side dishes were excellent, and the service couldn't be better. Maybe I just visited on an off night. I would go back, but I'm afraid to order tri tip..... it was expensive as tri-tip goes. The FLAVOR of the meat was great - I truly loved the oak fired thing. I just wish I hadn't left so hungry and paid so much.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Bar
Cons: Bad value, small portion, meat not hot
