i'd previously had a bad highlight job on my hair so i let my stylist know my situation and told him what i wanted and what i didn't. he did very well on my highlights, though the color still came out with a hint of orange (what i did not want). but he assured me that he could lighten the color up to blonde to take out some of the orange. it was pricier than i bargained for because he quoted me a lower price on the phone. (the reason for the price hike is because my hair had been dyed frequently and it would take a herculean effort to try to lessen the orange color) plus, the stylist stayed late because he couldn't fit me into the regular schedule...but i also had to wait half an hour from my appointment time. overall, good communication and a good result.
