It is obvious that the ""official"" reviewer didn't grow up in a home with good Southern cooking, or Vittles would have seemed like heaven. I'd go there again just for the chess pie (which was, frankly, better than my great grandmom's). Fried chicken is meant to be greasy, pot roast should be almost disintigrated, and good Southern-style veggies are always mushy. This resteraunt should be near Swett's, not in stuffy Brentwood. It isn't avant guarde cuisine -- it's homestlye. And quite good at that.
Pros: Homestyle Food, Courteous Staff, Good Prices
Cons: Bland Decor
