ARS came out because when I turned on my A/C for the first time this spring it was blowing hot air. I mean hot heated air. My heat strips were on. The last people to service my system was ARS in the winter when they had to run a new wire from my heat pump to the air handler under the house. Everything was fine until 4 months later when I turned on my A/C for the first time. HEAT. ARS was called, they came out and claimed there was a bad contact and didn't charge me. When I got home from work I discovered that my thermostat was suddenly registering that the temperature in the house was 85 degrees and the A/C was trying to get there. The actual temp in the house was 66 degrees. The A/C was obviously working fine. I then switched over to heat to see if it registered the same inside temperature and it did. At that point I called the customer support for my digital/Wi-Fi thermostat and after several tests it was discovered that the technician from ARS had SHORTED OUT MY $250.00 THERMOSTAT. He had failed to turn off the power to the unit before messing with the incorrectly installed (from 4 months earlier) wire to the heat pump. In my opinion, ARS sent inexperienced hacks to do my repairs.
