Sad and Gross. 10/25/2014

Wilson's Wild Animal Park is a roadside zoo. People seem to go here so their little ones can feed animals for a few bucks with little thought to what they're patronizing. The place is dirty, trashy, and many of the animals are in cages behind metal bars. Forget about habitat. If you have any appreciation for wildlife, you won't enjoy your visit. more

So heartbreaking 12/10/2010

Yes, they had animals and you could feed some but,.... and here comes the big BUT.....it was horrible! The place was filthy and very trashy, literally. Lawn care was um...not done! Weeds and high grass made the whole place seem sad and depressing ....like no one cared. Yes the people were nice and sweet but that did not in any way make up for the lack there of of general upkeep. The animals even seem neglected and depressed. It was so depressing. I wanted all the children to have the same memories as i did as a child and worried that they will remember all of the flaws, like a half torn down run down cage shelter with a nasty old battery of some kind just sitting there like again it had been forgotten. Yes, recently times have been tough but this is a place for children and or tourist to the local area and it was an embarassment. If money is the issue i know the local area would love to spruce it up by doing fundraising or such for them. It is just so very sad. more

really? 9/9/2010

This park was so depressing :( My boyfriend's grandmother had gone into the hospital the day we went so I thought it'd help him feel a little better if we went and did something. We're both animal lovers so I decided to take him to the wild animal park. I think he ended up feeling worse by the time we left. The animal's cages looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks, and the bears looked so depressed. The birds they had you could have gone to a pet store to see, only the pet store birds would have been in better condition. It really makes me sad that the park was not in good condition. :( more

Horrible 8/28/2010

I went to this park when I was little, and I have also taken my little girl as well a couple years ago. The place has gone down since I was little. The animals looked horrible when we were there, my little girl kept asking if they were sick. Hmmm...so unless the owners have decided to do a major clean up of the place, then I don't know what everyone else is loving about this place. Yes the prices are decent, I will give them that. However, that is about the only decent thing about this place. Sorry to burst the bubble and be the "Negative Nancy" but this is my opinion. more

Great Educational Experience! 8/13/2009

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Wilson's, and -- as I live nearby -- plan to go back often. The admission fee is quite reasonable (cash or check only). I was very impressed with the attention given to animal care, size of aviaries, and with the vast range provided to larger animals. Additionally, there is a marvelous gift shop with a huge array of t-shirts; animal motif items such as umbrellas and blankets; and animal toys, including reasonably priced hand puppets, plastic animal figures, and adorable wooden riding horses that bring fond memories of childhood. Wilson's Wild Animal Park is a grand nature education opportunity for children as well as adults. more

Great place for kids 8/9/2008

I visited with my friend. It is a good place for kids to see animals up close, the people who work the park were very nice and answered all the questions we had. We even got the pet the ferrets. They take very good care of the animals! Thomas more

It was awesome ! 7/24/2008

Hi, I'm Ana, I am nine. I went to Wilson's today with a friend, I had lots of fun. I loved all the animals, especially the black panther. They told me about the panther and the bird with no front chest wings and other stories, the panther was in a small cage because it loves to climb. The bird came like that and they have been trying everything to make it better. So, that is why the cages are like they are. I would recommend a trip to Wilson's. more

A Great Family Experience! 7/14/2008

I brought my two year old to Wilson's as part of a MOMS outing. The owners are approachable and friendly, and the staff are helpful as well. The animals are well cared for, and quite a few can be touched by the children. The park allows you to feed the deer, sheep, and goats - an activity all the little ones enjoyed. \r \r Wilson's is a close drive from my home, and offers children chance to see nearly 200 animals up close and personal, in a peaceful, wooded environment. I highly recommend it as a family attraction. more

Wilson's is a great place to take grandkids 4/1/2008

I took my grandson, Will to this zoo for a day out and he loved it - the animals are in areas and also loose and roaming around the paths. He was feeding the animals and I suspect trying the animal food himself. more

This is a very fun educational place for children. My son loves to go and see the animals. It isn't very expensive and has a reasonalby priced gift shop as well. more
