AFTER MANY EXHAUSTING HOURS OF LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT GOWN I WAS BEGINNING TO BECOME STRESSED AFTER MY SEARCH IN NASHVILLE HAD TURNED UP ZERO. MY FRIEND HAD HEARD OF THE WHITE ROOM IN LEBANON AND SO WE TOOK OFF FOR ONE LAST EFFORT BEFORE I WENT OUT OF STATE TO FIND A GOWN. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN THE DOOR I FELT LIKE I WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE PLACE EVEN THOUGH THE STORE WAS PACKED WITH CUSTOMERS. AS I WAS TAKEN BACK INTO THE BRIDAL ROOM EVERYONE WAS SO NICE AND HELPFUL AND THE GOWN SELECTION WAS INCREDIBLE. I TRIED ON AT LEAST TEN GOWNS THAT I LOVED AND I WAS SO EXCITED TO HAVE FOUND THAT MANY IN ONE PLACE. MY SALES GIRL WAS SO PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE DRESSES I HAD TRIED ON AND SHE WAS SO IN TUNE TO THE LOOK I WAS GOING FOR ON MY WEDDING DAY. I PURCHASED MY DRESS AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT I ACTUALLY FOUND BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES I LOVED TOO! I HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT THE WHITE ROOM AND I WOULD ADVISE ANY BRIDE TO PUT IT AS ONE OF THE FIRST STOPS ON THEIR LIST. in early january i found my dress at the white room. the sales girls were so kind and excited for me when i made the order. it was a trunk show dress and the floor model happened to fit perfectly. i floated out of the store and drove home. my dress was supposed to arrive in plenty of time for my July 7 wedding. i was high on the experience and thrilled with the white room, totally trusting that they knew what they were doing. it did not dawn on me until 5 months later that i was never measured before ordering my once-in-a-lifetime gown. Right when I walked into the store, the ladies working there came right up to assist me. I had been referred because one of my best friends bought her wedding dress there a year ago (which they did a very great job then too), so all I did was show them the dress I wanted to buy, tried it on, and wah-lah - BEAUTIFUL! I tried on an ivory colored version of what I wanted, and I couldn't decide if I wanted ivory or white - because typically, a wedding dress is usually always white. I loved the ivory but I loved the white, and like the lady worker mentioned, ""white can sometimes wash a bride out,"" which I agreed and purchased the dress. I tried on other white dresses to make sure of what I wanted, and I agreed, but for some reason I still wavered to the white. I ordered the dress in ivory not thinking that it could be ordered in white, but the next morning I went to their website seeing ""white"" by the picture, and I quickly e-mailed them and told them what I wanted. They were very pleasant and helpful assuring me my dress would be in 4-6 months and be WHITE. I'm not very picky, and I understand that my wedding is going to be the very most special day of my life, just like other brides, but I understand that things may happen (i.e. dress not coming in until 4-6 months or later, etc.) errors happen. But being at that store, trying on dresses, veils, etc. was made fun and exciting because the young lady assisting me gave me ideas of what was good for outside weddings (what I'm having), and allowed me to choose what I wanted for me. She was a very big help, and I'm so glad I went there for my dress - I can't wait to go back there for my fiance's tuxes!! more

From the 1st day I walked in to the White Room until the day of my wedding I was treated like a princess. The entire staff did everything to make sure my day was perfect. They had great suggestions and helped put all my fears to rest. I think if you don't give the White Room an opportunity to serve you, you'll be making a huge mistake. Top of the line dresses, top of the line customer service, and they even take care of the Mother-of-the-Bride. I couldn't have ask for anything more. The White Room is the BEST and believe me I looked everywhere. Trust me on this - you won't be sorry. more

Well I went to The White Room this weekend as all my friends had recently purchased their gowns there and highly reccomended the store. I found the dress of my dreams and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the ladies there. My consultant was so wonderful and knew exactly what I seemed to be looking for. She actually picked the gown that I purchased as I passed it over on my first go through of the gowns. When I put it on I knew it was the one! Their selection is by far the best around and I have been alllllll over. I am so excited that I have made my final decision and I absolutely love my gown! Enough about my dress, I really wanted to just say ""Thank You"" to The White Room for making my day so wonderful and for being so helpful and patient with my decision. I value input while planning my wedding and I always looking for great advice, but I take these city search reviews as being one sided, so here's my side. I for one have had a TERRIFIC experience at The White Room. I have been working with the nicest girls that have went above and beyond to contact me through e-mail and phone correspondence even after I ordered my dresses (bridal/bridesmaids/mother). I have always been treated with kindness, excitement, fairness, and promptness. I was referred to the white room by a friend who had nothing but great things to say about the girls there and I found my experience to be true to her word. I would recommend anyone that hasn't shopped there to give them a try for themselves. I don't think you will be disappointed. I hate that there was a negative experience there because I don't believe it speaks for the hundreds of girls that buy their dream gown there every year. more

I just took the time to read every review....wow! I had planned on going to the White Room this weekend to start the search for my wedding gown but after the reviews from some of you, I have reconsidered. I want to thank you for helping me not ruin my day, and to say I am sorry that you all had to experience that on what is supposed to be the most memorable and happiest day of your life... more

My wedding planner scheduled and confirmed an appointment for my bridesmaids, mothers and I. I had preselected several styles that were confirmed to be available at the store. I was also to try on veils, shoes and jewelry to match my dress. On arrival, we were told that the person with whom we had the appointment was not there. No apology or explanation. When we stopped the teenage associate from walking away and asked to see the dresses anyway, another person came back and eventually told us they did not carry those dresses. I showed them where the appointment was confirmed and the dresses were indeed confirmed instock. All I got back was ""Umm, I don't know"", a slow blink and then the associate literally turned her back, walked off and began helping another customer. This was the first opportunity to have my family and my fiancees family meet due to busy schedules. My family does not live in Tennessee and my parents had come down especially for this appointment. No one wanted to help us. In fact, when we asked for assistance with veils, we were told they were all busy and we would have to wait. Unfortunately, one of my bridesmaids found a dress for a pageant and I had to wait for her to finish trying it on, watching other brides tended to, giddy at trying on the most important dress they'll ever wear, while I sat ignored. My mother tried again to get assistance from someone, but was waved away. I am not exaggerating, she was waved off with a flick of the wrist by another associate. Aren't they supposed to be polite and helpful BEFORE they get your money and then ignore you afterward? (See others' reviews). I was ignored, insulted, humiliated and embarassed in front of my family, my bridesmaids and my fiancees family. I know that it was immature, but when we left...I cried. I let teenagers make me feel worthless. I consider myself lucky since I had actually not transacted business with them. I hope to spare anyone else this experience. more

We are still in the middle of one of the worst customer service experiences of our life. We planned over a year ahead for my daughter's wedding and placed the order for her wedding gown five months ago. We have been given every excuse imaginable for why my daughter's wedding gown...THE most important dress of her life...is still not here. Some of the reasons we have been given were: It was the Chinese New Year, which delayed production; a former employee placed the order wrong and was fired; the dress was, indeed, at the designer's location in a different state and would be here by TODAY, only to be called back and told the dress has not even been shipped to the designer, let alone sent to The White Room. The biggest regret we have is not listening to other dissatisfied customers about their terrible experiences. Now it's a few weeks away from my daughter's wedding day. She has missed her Bridal Portrait sitting - money and an important event LOST. She doesn't have her dress, which may need one or two or more alterations and time is running out. We have been told whatever would make us happy and would shut us up and make us go away and they have our money! This is ruining my daughter's wedding experience and we do not like being lied to - some days my daughter and I have been told two different fictitious tales within hours of each other. My daughter is a wreck over not having her dress and being treated this way. Their website talks about pampering the customer - a gross misrepresentation of the service we have received. The owner/manager promised to follow up weekly with a phone call to us; that has not happened. A month went by and I had to call her, only to be told the dress was ""still in production"" and that it wasn't her fault. She is the OWNER and she is doing nothing about this situation. And still here we sit...no wedding dress for a wedding just a few weeks away. It's been a horribly disgusting experience. Brides, please stay away! more

At least purchasing the bridesmaid dresses was a HORRIBLE experience. I got my dress from the White Room and I am certain the only reason why I didn't have issues is because we bought it right off the floor. The bridesmaid dresses (I was ordering 8) couldn't be ordered until we had all the measurements, I get this part. My wedding is in June and we didn't get all the measurements in until the first of March. I knew this was a little late to be ordering the dresses so I asked the manager if we needed to put a rush on the dresses and she assured me it would be ""FINE"" and there was no need for a rush. I asked her this on 3 separate occassions- and each time she gave me the same ""IT WILL BE FINE"" answer. My mom called to get an update on the dresses and the girl that answered the phone #1) Couldn't even find my order #2) Finally found it and told me they would be shipped May 17th and received either 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after- I was furious- 2 weeks after would be AFTER the wedding #3) The manager said that once she saw that they were ready she would have them OVERNIGHTED- so my mom called today 05/11/2007 and asked about the dresses- the manager said that it would be the we weekend BEFORE my wedding b/c it takes a few days to ship- NOT IF YOU OVERNIGHT LIKE SHE SAID! What do you do?!?! more

This store looks nice and the staff seem nice enough, that is, while you are there to purchase. Unfortunately, after you have given them your money, it is a whole different story. My sister (the bride) purchased all the bridesmaids dresses from this store. Originally, we were going to have 2 maid of honor dresses and three bridesmaids dresses (in a different color). The SAME day we ordered the dresses, my sister called back and spoke to the manager to make sure we only received ONE maid of honor dress and the rest of the dresses in the other color. They assured us this was no problem since the order had not been submitted yet. Well, we just found out the dresses came in; even though they have been sitting in the store for a WEEK AND A HALF!!!). My sister and one of her bridesmaids went to the store to look at the dresses, and found that they in fact did order TWO the same color (AND the manager actually had the nerve to tell my sister that she remembered the phone conversation to only order one). On top of that.... the sashes for the bridesmaids dresses were completely the wrong color. The manager then told my sister that she could order the dress in the correct color, but the dress would not be in until just 10 days before the wedding, even though there would be no time to have it altered. On top of that, the manager said it would cost my sister an additional $75 for rush shipping; even though it was there mistake!!! Please save yourself the headache and just go somewhere else where the staff actually knows what they are doing, and continue to offer good service after they already have your money. Cannot say enough awesome things about the shop and the staff!!! They made my wedding everything I have ever dreamed of. I got a custom gown (for an unbelievable price) that I have always dreamed of. The girls there helped to make my vision a reality. It was well worth the drive from Nashville. Pros: Customer Service, Ambience & Pricing more

I would not recommend The White Room (bridal shop) in Lebanon, TN! The sales assistant and the owner confirmed that the bridesmaid dresses that my daughter selected came in maternity (two bridesmaids were pregnant - 7 & 8 months at the time of the wedding) and then the shop ordered oversized dresses (like size 18 for girls that normally were 4's). The bridesmaids had the dresses completely altered at their own expense. The White Room is only interested in making a sell, they can not be trusted and, to say the least, are very unprofessional. I had a fantastic experience at the White Room. The customer service was great, and the dresses are unbelieveable. The have a great range of prices from $300 - $3,000. They also have a big selection of trendy bridesmaid dresses and MOB dresses. The White Room has a great selection of bridal gowns from tradional to trendy. I found the perfect wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and MOB dress from the White Room. I highly recommend checking this bridal shop out! Pros: Friendly, Big Selection, One-on-One Assistance more

The ladies at The White Room were wonderful!!! From the moment I walked in the store to the minute that I walked down the aisle I felt like I was a princess. They helped me in every decision I had to make. I was able to create a custom gown for a fraction of the price. My bridesmaids loved them too!! They were able to find us a bridesmaid gown for under $140 in the exact color I was looking for (I couldn't find the right color so I brought them a swatch and they had the company find the color). In fact, 2 of them are now engaged and have since purchased their gowns from The White Room. If you have not been there- it is the place to go for all your bridal needs. They are great!!!!!!!!
