Not only does Dr. Loxtercamp provide care to our usual pets but also exotic pets. I first met him when my parakeet had a respiratory condition for months. Parakeets are every one's first pet and we think of them as hardy for this reason. They are quite delicate and do respond to medical care as I found out. Dr. Loxtercamp provided me with every possible option to save his life and per my request, provided me with a lot of information in case he did not survive. Because this little bird only wanted to survive, he was on antibiotics twice a day for 6 weeks and pulled through. The next time my parakeet flock feet started swelling, I thought they were injuring and fracturing them - turned out they had mites! They needed special veterinary treatment for this and had to go in several times and are fine. Had I not met Dr. Loxtercamp these birds would have died. He spent a LOT of time each visit explaining and treating these parakeets. I very much recommend him for exotics. more

The BEST Vets 12/26/2007

I started taking my dog to VCA Worth Animal Hospital when I lived on the southwest side of Chicago, Now that I am a "northsider" I still take my dog here. All of the vets (especially Dr. Carol Dill) and staff and wonderful and caring. I feel very comfortable with the treatment and trust them with my pet. They do everything to make sure that the pets are not stressed. I drive over 50 miles to make sure that my dog get the best treatment and it is worth it. more

I always took our dogs there. They gave us the medications we would need for them. They were always very compassionate when we had to put our dogs to sleep. PROS: great CONS: more

Compassionate Pet Care 6/24/2005

VCA Worth Animal Hospital has some of the best Veterinarians in the area. The staff and doctors are very compassionate to both people and pets alike. They are genuinely concerned about getting your pet well if it is sick. I highly recommend VCA Worth Animal Hospital. PROS: Very compassionate staff and doctors CONS: more
