Junk and Poor Service 5/24/2011

Bought a new Cub Cadet I1046 Zero Turn Mowerfrom this place. I bought Cub Cadet thinking I was paying for a good product....NOT!\r \r With twenty hours on the machine the transmission belt came off -got chewed up and needed replaced. $150.00 later and a 50.00 pick-up fee the machine lasted another twenty hours and the same thing happened again. Of course, none of it covered under warranty. The many conversations I had with this gentleman is always a ""Stick gets caught in the pulley and slips the belt"".....I'm thinking ""WTF, it's a lawnmower and lawns have sticks""??\r \r This second time, I trailered it myself to save the fifty bucks, \r \r I paid 2500.00 for this machine and it has now needed two transmission belts with only 40 hours on it, has now cost me close to 300.00 to fix....BS!\r \r Finally, the machine was repaired, i went to pick it up, took one of my 6 month old Russian Import Dobermans with me insode. I walked in the door, the gentleman behind the counter was extremely rude saying ""We don't allow dogs in here""...Funny, I didn't see a sign on the door. Ya know, I have been so angry over this piece of junk, it took everything to contain myself. I ignored him, He again was rude, again, I ignored him and said to the lady ""I just want to pick up my tractor"", paid for it, loaded it and left.\r \r This experience with them and this machine has been a friggin nightmare. Did I mention my grass is now 3 feet high? I was better off with the junk mower I got rid of too buy this CC, at least I could work on the old one.\r \r While I thought I was buying a good machine, later research revealed that CC is now owned by the same manufacture that makes all of the other junk in the big box stores....MTD. The internet CC reviews are horrendous,....wheels that pop off, hoods that fall off and the list goes on and on. at one point I even entertained the idea of a trade-in....that was a fleeting thought...Nope!!\r \r I considered seeking legal counsel, even spoke with a Lemon Law Atty and they told me to file a complaint with the PA Attorney General's Office. I now have this machine for sale on Craigslist with 40 hrs on itand bought a good Husqvarna YTH24v42LS to replace this.\r \r Never, ever, will I buy another CC, nor will I deal with these people again....absolutely refuse! Chats I have had online with people in the industry when explaining the entire scenario relate it to very bad service...and I have to agree.\r \r With the power of the internet, competing big box stores, garbage merchandise level of service and rudeness I recieved, it will not be long before they are out of business. Beaver County is very small and we remember.\r \r I am already done with Town and Country.....now if I can unload this piece of garbage from my trailer, I certainly will be happy. My new tractor is in at the end of the week, I will wait for it to arrive to cut my 3 feet high grass....Thanks, Cu Cadet. I don't even want to start this thing, think I'll coast it off and let it set before it has the chance to break down again.\r \r For real though, if you are entertaining getting a good mower, they are out there. Husqvarna, Bad Boy, Hustler, Easton, etc, much better machines and better warranties.\r \r more

Wonderful company 4/18/2010

I just purchased a 2009 Cub Cadet Z Force and a 2009 Kymco 90 mongoose ATV. With both purchases Tom was more than willing to speak of the pros and cons of both units, as well as comparing them to other manufactures he did not carry. He did not talk poorly about the others. In contrary he told me many good things about them that I wan not aware of. When speaking with him about the Z Force he did not try to tell me his models were better than another manufacture. He gave information on the ones I was looking at and how they each would meet my needs. After speaking to other local dealerships of kubota, husky, exmark, etc... none of them would compare theirs to other manufactures with detail. All they want to do was sell me theirs and not give me specifics to why. Tom did all that and then from that I decided what to purchase. The ATV was a purchase for my son and again he was very knowledgeable in his brand as well as others. I did have problems with the battery being bad. HOWEVER, Tom took care of that without hesitation. I called him about it, went to the store and he took a battery out of a new unit to replace mine because he did not have a battery in stock. I would highly recommend him and I have to several people already looking for ATVS for their children. Pros: Tom was very willing to talk pros and cons about products more

Very Poor Service 9/14/2008

I own a commercial Toro tractor and needed a few parts that were commercial dealer only. I also need a few that I can get most anywhere. Since Town and Country are one of very few commercial dealers I called and had them order all of the parts. Several days later I got a message on my machine saying my parts were in. I had my wife stop in and pick them up. She brought them home and I sat them aside for the weekend. The day I went to put everything together I discovered the seals I needed were missing, which means no mowing for me. Not that big a deal yet. I called on Monday and asked where they were. I was told that only two of the 4 seals I needed were in and the others were on backorder. I said that I would have preferred that I had been told this. He said over and over that they (the two that were in) were in a different box. No apologies or anything just that they were in a different box. I got tired of him saying that and tols him that was an excuse and I wanted to know what he was going to do about it. He proceeded to tell me that it was my fault they didn't give me my parts and he was doing me a favor by ordering them. After personally insulting me I hung up the phone on him. I normally order anywhere from 200 to 1000 dollars in parts each year and also typically buy a new tool at upwards of 1000 dollars so he does not realize that 8 bucks in seals has cost him so much more. Had he just said ""Sorry we screwed up"" nothing would have come of it, mistakes happen just own up to it. I can't recommend anyone wanting good service go there. Pros: Comercial Toro Dealer Cons: Blames you for their mistake and refuse to make right. more
