These people are horrible. We subleted through them and have been in our house 5 weeks. They said they were coming in to look at things THEY needed to fix and then sent us a list of violations. We called, got fed some lies, fixed what they said, and are now getting kicked out because it was ""messy"" aka hadn't unpacked all of our boxes. They gave us one week.... ONE WEEK... to find a new place and have all of our stuff out. I went to ask for an explanation and I got kicked out of the office. Granted I was a bit out of my head by the end of it but as soon as I came in asking questions I was told to loose the attitude or get out of the office. They are unprofessional, back handed. and just overall a horrible company. Please be smart and don't rent from them. more

As I read through these complaints I have to laugh a little bit, I was a renter from TNT for 3 years and NEVER had a problem. My wife and I got married and moved out of our parents homes for the first time in our lives and you would think that our first time being on our own and first time renting would be hard, however TNT and its staff made our first time renting an easy experience and for that reason I would highly recomend this company. Any time we had a maintenance problem they were always quick to respond and always kept us informed if they had to come back. The office staff was always a joy to deal with and would always great you with a smile. The complaints from the other people below seem to me to be a matter of ignorants. Just be sure to read your lease before you sign it, the lease clearly has all of the rules and regulations listed. more

This company is absolutely terrible! They never return calls and their ""emergency maintenance"" line is a voicemail. It took two hours for ""emergency maintenance"" to return our call one night. Our AC has broken twice in two months and it has taken two and a half weeks to fix each time. They treat their residents like garbage. Parking is a problem at their locations and their solution is to tell you to park somewhere else, but to be careful, because you might get towed. They require visitor passes, but are closed after 5 pm and on weekends, so you can't get one if you need it. HORRIBLE! more

Horrible, do not rent any of their properties! Never fix anything and are rude. more

TNT Flinchum is so poorly run that it makes any dealings with them almost impossible. If you call for repairs, it takes them over a week to get there if they even come at all. The properties they have are dilapidated and most still use lead paint. Their incompetence is overwhelming. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider renting from them more

If you want to rent in Blacksburg...run fast from this company!!! Very bad to deal with. Staff very non professional and lack knowledge and professionalism more

I could go on for paragraphs about this company, but I won't. Just let me warn you now: Don't rent from TNT. Once you sign the lease, they treat you like garbage. Don't expect them to react quickly to maintenance emergencies. Don't expect them to keep you place from falling into disrepair. (I lived in a duplex on Harman Circle and the carpet was falling apart at the seams, the insulation leaked out of the storm windows -- which they never repaired, they equip the units with the most energy INefficient appliances so it's cheap for them and costly for you.) I have yet to rent from these people. I was looking at a few different properties around the area and this Rental Company popped up a few different times in my search. I happened to actually accidently stumble upon all these reviews one day and WOW. I am so glad I founda ll of this out before I wasted my time and money with these people. Sounds to melike a small business trying to make it but guess they don't realize that they are hurting themselves by doing this to people but whatever. Thanks to the reviews I found or else me hubby and I would be probably be posting on here about them as well 1 day. More people need to read these reviews before they go sign anything with this company it sounds like to me....so THANKS to all you posters, you saved us alot of hassle!... more

I received the property in awful shape - smelling of the previous tenants dogs, dog hair all over everything, not cleaned and still having repairs done. During the time, the master shower started to leak through the living room ceiling and they took a month to do a sub par repair job (it still leaked and they charged my security deposit to properly repair the poor job they did!). What's left of my security deposit came back and they charged me for roof repairs! What did they think I was doing? Chopping at the roof with a hatchet? That is normal wear and tear and poor maintenance on their part, not any tenant's responsibility. I even had a slug infestation in my basement - big ones - 3 inches long - and they told me to turn on a humidifier (which was on and the slugs were still a problem). There was slug slime down two of the basement walls! I am amazed I received 20% of my security deposit back despite the bogus charges and nickel and diming by this company. I know options are limited in a college town, but do not rent from these people. This is the icing on the cake of a horrible experience. Pros: nothing Cons: slow response from office staff, inept repair people, inept cleaners, slugs, leaking ceilings more
