Tiffani Kim Institute

After spending a lot of time only researching laser hair removal, I am so glad I decided to go with the Tiffani Kim Institute. I signed up for 6 sessions, and after 5 so far, I couldn't be happier with the results to my bikini area. The entire staff is very attentive and I have had great experiences with each of the ladies who provide treatment. They are also really great in spacing out treatments in order to get the most out of them. It's nice to be able to space out the sessions for when there is actually enough hair to require removal. The service, results, and location really can't be beat! more

Last week I received the laser hair treatment on my lip/chin area, It was a great overall experience. The numbing cream worked and there was very little pain. I am so excited just to have even a reduction in back annoying chin and lip hairs. I love the professional feel of the facility. Its not a social/feel-good spa with five million other clients. These clients are here for a purpose!! Thank you for not pushing other services on me....When I asked about other services and suggestions, I received non pushy advice:) I'll soon be posting another review for the facial services... I cant wait!! more

I don't know what these people are expecting, but this place was wonderful. Superb treatment. I went for a 90 minute Sports Massage and Kara was awesome. Yes, the Spa is located in the basement, which had absolutely no affect on the the service or treatment provided to me. If I'm not mistaken, most spa services are offered behind closed doors anyway unless it's beach/poolside. Clearly, this place doesn't offer either so who cares that it's in the basement. I read complaints about low lighting...it's all about the ambiance of relaxation and stress relief. When my services were complete, I felt absolutely stress free! It appeared nice and clean. I never felt that I was in an unsanitary environment. The pricing was comparable with other Spas in the area. I will definitely go back again and again. My experience was great! Try it for yourself. I would not recomend this place at all. I booked an appt. for massage and when I showed up for my appt. they told me that I was not in the appt books. Instead of rebooking me or something, they made me feel like I was the one who made the mistake. To make matters worse I saw something crawl by on the floor. Maybe it is because the spa is in a basement with low lights and no windows. This justs makes me question about how clean the spa really is, and for their prices it should be spotless. more

Everything about this place screams luxury! I went to Tiffani Kim Institute for the first time last week for a facial. The minute I walked in I was greated by someone in the lobby who directed me where to go. When I walked into the spa it smelled great and I was handed a warm towel, which was so nice because it was so cold outside! You don't see service like that anymore. I should have known better when I walked into an empty spa on a Friday afternoon. This place is a huge DUMP in a great location. When I saw the gaustly owner crawl by, I thought I was trapped in a s&x slave brothel. After my consultation I decided to skip the treatment and go to a well known plastic surgeon in the area. There is something so strange about this place, I don't want or trust them touching me! Don't even waste your time with this place! Wish I would have seen the reviews earlier! I noticed a few good reviews and it's obvious they were written by employees of the spa!! Pros: Great location. Cons: Too bad the business is not! more

Over the past two years the services has become horrible and surprisingly unethical. The spa has been known to over charge customers (which I discovered first hand), so be warned for single visits or large parties (i.e. bridal parties) that any issues will be met with horrible customer services (delay tactics and denials). I wouldn?t even recommend there second location, as the management is the same (terrible). more

I am extremely disappointed in my last experience here. I've been to this spa a few times, so this was not my first experience. I made an appointment for a facial. When I showed up a week later for my appointment, they didn't have me in their books. Instead of apologizing and offering another service and anything else, they basically told me it was my fault they couldn't find me in their books and that I was basically out of luck. They asked if I'd like to make another appointment for a facial another time. Absolutely not! How would I know if that was was mistakenly taken off the books? The staff were very accomodating to fit in a manicure and pedicure. They were all very nice. I would recommend everyone going to TKI. When scheduling my appointment for a Beta Peel I asked if it was compatible with the topical Retinol I am taking. After scheduling my appointment the front desk person said she would have an estitition call me back with the answer. No one called back and I, assuming there wasn't an issue, showed up the next day for my 10am appointment. However, I did not have an appointment! I had the airbrush tanning done at TKI. I was extremely disappointed with the ""tan"", as well as the customer service. The visit started out OK, the receptionist was nice and the locker room was cramped (really not top spa quality), but clean. The technician who performed the airbrush tanning service was very cold, uninformative and I think she really just didn't even try to do a good job. On top of that, the room it was done in gave me the feeling of being trapped in an old dungeon locker room. Once the tan started to set (it takes 8 hours), I realized that she had done a horrible job. The areas around my hands, ankles and feet looked awful - by awful I mean parts of them looked tan and then parts were completely pale - it literally looked like someone drew lines in certain areas where the tan ended and the pale began. The tan on most of my body was also uneven. I called the spa about 7 hours after my appt. and left a message for a manager calmly explaining my issue and asking that she please return my call. I also left my name, appt. time, and phone #. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK from anyone at the salon. I was so upset that I called again about a week later and spoke to a receptionist, told her the situation and was put on hold while she looked for the manager who she ""couldn't find"". She asked if I'd like to leave another voicemail to which I said no. According to the reviews, some people have had great experiences at TKI. I'm sure they have some very good technicians, but know they also have some bad ones. If you've never been to TKI, and are imagining a posh, up-scale spa, I think you will be let down - their facilities leave a lot to be desired and their customer service is, well, non-existent in my experience. If you do decide to go to , a few guidelines: DON'T get the airbrush tanning, DON'T have high expectations and DON'T have any issues requiring customer service and it'll work out fine. I went for my very 1st professional spa service, with a large group from our company. It was during the Xmas season. My appointment was 1st thing one Saturday morning and it was absolutely wonderful and no waiting! I had the 60 minute stone massage and I nearly fell asleep. Every year, my friends and I get together to do a ""Spa Christmas"" instead of buying each other gifts. Last weekend, ON A SUNDAY!!! We went to see Genevieve for facials. OK first of all, the Spa is beautiful, secondly everything was on time and third of all... I love the steam room! The three of us spent a half day there reading, or should I say sleeping in the ""Place of Peace"", STEAMING in the steam room and the cleansing our faces with Genevieve. Genevieve is not only educated,but has hands like no other. We all agreed we felt like Clean, fluffy marshmallows at the end of the day and decided against shopping for Christmas and went straight home to drink water and relax some more. Why not? If you need a ""real"" facial you need to go to Vieve at Tiffany Kim Institute. She's so talented. I felt like a marshmallow after my facial. My job does not give me too much time to relax or to pamper myself. My co-workers recently gave me a gift certificate to Tiffani Kim Institute for a full day of treatments. I walked in and instantly, I was greeted with friendly front desk. They showed me to a room where I could relax with a cup of tea. My massage, facial, manicure and pedicure were done by nurturing ladies that just pampered me throughout the day. This place is a paradise in an urban city. I would recommend it highly. I will never recommend this spa to anyone ever! I received the worst customer service, was embarrased by the staff, felt terribly self conscience after that and couldn't enjoy my massage. I will never go here again and will make it my goal to let anyone and everyone that this spa is awful... I hope they go under someday! Tiffani Kim is not located at 212 W Superior, it is at 310 W Superior. I found this out when I tried to go for the first time this morning. Just an FYI. Also, I'd recommend the Swedish massage, unless your muscles can really take a bruising from the deep tissue work.
