Our two lhasa apsos love going to Claudia's. The staff there truly cares about pets. Our little ones have sensitive skin and Claudia recommended an appropriate shampoo which greatly helped. Our dogs are very happy when they come home after a day at TaW and they always look absolutely gorgeous. more

Tails A-waggin is horrible 7/1/2009

I went to them for 16 years and was happy. I sent my new dog for the second time and they were rude and gave my sheet zu a crew cut. When questioned them on the phone later that day they said was the direction the cut was going. They did not give me what I wanted. When I asked them for a refund they said absolutely no. When I said I will not come back they said good and hung up on me. After 16 years this is the appreciation you get as a loyal customer. I recommend that nobody goes there and there business gets shut down. more

Awful experience! 6/1/2009

I have a small Maltese and it took this place a little less then 8 hours to call me after i dropped him off! Then, when I picked him up, he looked lethargic and traumatized. The very next day, I went to pet him on his head and he yelped - I found out he had a horrible ear infection. I had inspected him and his ears the day I took him to the groomer and he was normal and healthy. I have no doubt that the groomer got water in his ears and did not dry it out enough which caused the ear infection. I was livid so I called the groomer and left a message requesting they call me back with an explanation. I received no call back - surprise, surprise. This place is a horrible place to take your dog! more

The best! 5/20/2009

My dog is like one of my children (a yellow lab), so I wanted to make sure he was nothing short of completely comfortable. I had taken him to PetSmart to be groomed before and the staff's unfriendly attitude left a bad taste in my mouth when I left him. He came home depressed and mopey afterwards, so I knew I had to find somewhere else to take him. Tails a-Waggin is right by my house and I decided to give it a try. Not only is the staff friendly and great, but they were completely attentive to my dog's needs. He is an epileptic, so they asked all the right questions to make sure they knew his history. If in the event he had a seizure there, I knew he would be okay. The grooming job they did was fantastic (and he smelled great for quite some time)! He was so soft, shiny, nails perfectly cut, and stray hairs trimmed. He looked like a brand new dog. And better yet, he was in a tip-top mood when he came home from there. I'm a forever customer! more

What great service! 4/23/2008

I have been a long time customer of Claudia's, and I have never been disappointed with the services I have received! I feel very comfortable leaving my dog in such capable hands. I have a two year old poodle mix that I rescued who is very timid. Everyone has been very good with him, and now he loves going to see all the ladies at the shop! (Not to mention he always comes out looking like a brand new dog!) I wouldn't trust anyone else with him...besides, I love the job the girls do so much, that I drive over forty miles to get his hair cut! more

What a GREAT place!! 4/22/2008

I can't imagine a better dog groomer. They not only gave my dog a great haircut, but he did not seem traumatized from his stays there. He has been there three times and each time is as good as the first. \r \r I read the excellent reviews here and a few other boards, and decided to give this one a whirl. The bad reviews I take with a grain of salt, and hope I am right. ;o) I have had some bad luck with some other places. The owner here is very friendly, and extremely courteous. No price gouging going on here, either. My bills has been the same every visit. My little buddy looked great and was happy. That makes me feel great. Thanks Tails! more

Love Them! 4/4/2008

My parents took their dog to Tails-A-Waggin for several years before he passed. When I adopted my Golden Retreiver/Chow mix I started to take him there, too. They know my dog by name, always greet him upon arrival, and he is always happy to go with them. He gets the cut I ask for, his nails trimmed, teeth cleaned... the works and I have NEVER been disappointed. I would recommend Tails-A-Waggin to anyone looking for a groomer. more

Bad experience 2/20/2008

My dog is small and gets a very simple haircut (short all over). When I called to make an appointment, I was told that there was a price range and it would depend on the type of haircut and the size of my dog. Well, my dog is tiny for her breed, plus her hair was already pretty short. I still paid the highest price in the range. I told them that I was surprised since on the phone I was given a range, and since my dog is small and simple to groom, I figured I would be paying a little less than that. I was told that "This is what we always charge to groom this breed." Oh okay, if that is the case, why wasn't I told that on the phone? I will never return to this place! more

Awesome to my baby 1/3/2008

Like most dog owners, my little cockapoo is our baby. We took her for the first time to Tails A- Wagging and they were SO nice to her. The haircut was PERFECT and the service was outstanding. I called ahead and they told me an approximate cost and I was actually charged more towards the mid-top range. I have had problems with other groomers in the past, but this one seems to be right on top of things. \r \r I did see the (one) negative post prior to going, (and now see a second) so I wanted to put my two cents in about how GREAT the shop was to deal with. It was one of the best haircuts she ever got!! I will post photos of my baby after her haircut if I can figure out how to do so. :)\r \r (Sorry, tried to figure out how to add my photos, but I am not so good with adding pics, I guess!) more

Didn't care for them 12/30/2007

I have two small dogs, they get a very simple haircut and they are very easy to groom. When I called, I was given a price range and was told that it depended on the size of my dogs and the haircut they get. Well, even though my dogs are tiny for their breed, AND get a simple haircut (short all over) I STILL paid the highest price in the range. When questioned, I was told that that was what they always charged for that breed. I was told that on the phone, I was given a range, and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. They haven't gotten my business since! more

MY POOR EMBARRASSED DOG 9/6/2007

I have a beautiful Havanese about a year old. I called Tails A-Waggin to find out if they were familiar with the Havanese breed. I was told YES. Made an appointment. Upon arrival, I told the person who opened the store NOT to clip her ears( they cut them straight across)or tail (trimmed) or eyebrows (looks like painted on). My instructions were totally ignored. When I pointed it out the groomer said,"Sorry."Guess that's all she could have said the damage was done. But no one offered me a refund. LOVE Tails A-Waggin' for my Labradoodle! 7/7/2007

Yes, it is a bit far from my house, but I got this tip from a friend. This place is great for my large Labradoodle. He's a great pooch, and we make the drive every two months (during the warm weather), to get his hair chopped, nails, trimmed, ears cleaned...the works!\r The owner is Claudia, and she is SOOOOOOOO nice. A friend of mine lives that way and encouraged me to try it, after we had been to a few more local-to-my -home shops. \r What we love about this shop:\r A. Friendly\r B. The dogs are all groomed UPFRONT (this was important to me)\r C. The shop was clean \r D. They treated my dog so well. \r E. Pricing is great!\r F. They have a great website! more

Good For My Dog! 5/19/2005

My dog hates to be groomed, but doesn't seem to mind Tails-A-Waggin. They do a superb job on him each time, and it's just nice to be able to drop the dog off and not have to worry about him for the whole day. Their prices are great and it's a very convenient location for me. I've been going there for years, and will continue to patronize this excellent business. PROS: Excellent Staff! CONS: more
