Sports & Buster Brown

Okay, I've been in this store a total of 3 times and each time I have been practically ignored. It's a small store that sells some nice shoes like Stride Rite, Keds, and Robeez, as well as specialty shoes like for jazz or tap. The owners-- a husband a wife team, I believe-- are just ... unfriendly. Of maybe they just don't like the way I look. At any rate, they never seem to want to help me find anything or even ask me what I am looking for. Today, I was in the store to find sandals for my son and when I asked if there were any sandals in her "sale" boxes, she simply replied that they were mostly sneakers. Hello?? Did you want to make a sale or not??? How about directing me to where you keep your sandals? For the price of their shoes, it's not worth going in except when they have their big 75% off sales. I got a few really nice pairs of Stride Rites and Keds for my daughter last year at an incredible savings. BOTTOM LINE: wait for the sales and don't expect much customer service. more

I don't usually shop here for kids shoes since I feel the prices are a little steep for shoes that will be outgrown in 2 months, but I just went here this afternoon. Actually, I was running other errands in that plaza and walked by S & BB. They had boxes of shoes out on the sidewalk. I had to stop when I read the sign 70% off girls shoes. I don't know how long the sale had been going on, but after sifting through all the boxes, I was able to find 2 pairs that I liked and in the sizes I needed. Regular price of Stride Rite shoes is usually >$40. I got a light up pair of sneakers for about $13 and a cute pair of Keds for less than $10. The owner of the shop was not very chatty, but he was nice. He held the door open for me. more
