DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! I worked at this south philly cheese steak from november 2010 till last month and not to mention the absolutely terrible cleanliness of the food and kitchen on multiple occasions iv'e seen mice scurry from under the fridges to grab food off the floor. the owner the dumbest person i ever met who doesnt really even have a grip on the english language, has no idea what he is doing. he doesnt understand food safety had never heard of cross contamination and honestly thinks you only need to wear gloves while cooking food but not while preping food all in all if you enjoy a good clean meal your in the wrong place -just lookin out- ex employee more

Let me begin by saying that I live for a good sandwich. South Philly makes a wicked Philly Cheesesteak that is almost as good as the ones back home. They are the only place around here (that I can find) that actually carries the amorosa rolls. The one I always order is called the works and I get it with Cheez Whiz and Cherry pepper relish---so delicious. They also have Tastykakes and Boylans...its nice to feel like I'm back in Philly any time i eat there. Pros: delicious food, good lunch/student specials, fatty subs Cons: im gaining wait more

very lousy overall 2/4/2008

If you like lousy service and a filthy little s*%t-hole...this might be the place for you. It is constantly jamm-packed with teens from this high school across the street...not my idea of whom I'd like to spend lunch with...foul-mouthed teenage boys.\r \r The food is just ""ok"", occassionally, it will even be hotter then luke-warm. The service is unapologetically terrible. I've eaten there three times, thought maybe they were just having an ""off-day"" and it was the same crappy food/service each time.
