The front office staff is professional 12/18/2013

Dr. Scoma's office is the best dentist office I have ever been to. The front office staff is professional, warm, efficient and helpful, and my kids like the technicians and Dr. Scoma. Since my children are older they go back by themselves but after each appointment Dr. Scoma calls me back to discuss and explain what he found. A few times, my children had poor hygiene but he was very careful how he told me this in front of my teenagers which helped keep their dignity but got the point across. Over the years, when my kids were in braces, he was extremely professional as he advised me on the attempt to keep my kids teeth clean and healthy through the orthodontic process. Even my teenagers have commented about how professional he is. more

My son doesn't mind going to the dentist 12/9/2013

My son has been going to Dr. Scoma from the beginning. Not the easiest patient initially. Dr. Scoma has been patient and positive throughout. My son doesn't mind going to the dentist and I think that speaks highly of the quality of work and relationship between patient and dentist. more

It was a great experience. Excellent staff members. We just had a financial problem with coverage and not accepting medi-cal which is why we couldn't stay. But all in all, I highly recommend this place. more

  • Dr. Anthony J. Scoma is a pediatric dentist who offers a warm, caring environment for all your child dental needs. Dr. Scoma sees children from the ages of six-months to adolescence in an office setting that is friendly and comfortable. Dr. Scoma attended Northwestern University Dental School. Upon completion of his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Scoma did a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at LIJMC-Schneider Children's Hospital in New York. Dr. Scoma has been practicing pediatric dentistry in San Diego for over three years and is currently an attending doctor at the Children's Hospital and Health Center with full surgical privileges. Dr. Scoma is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the San Diego County Dental Society Dr. Scoma offers comprehensive dental treatment including, but not limited to, routine dental care, complete restorative and oral surgery treatment, interceptive ort hodontics, conscious sedation, general anesthesia and hospital dentistry. In addition, Dr. Scoma's office is equipped with ceiling mounted televisions and games for the kids to enjoy, as well as a wonderful, energetic staff Please call to make your child first dental appointment.
