If you are a motorcycle buff of any type, and you live in Southern California....you have to visit The Rock Store at least once. The rugged facade is surrounded by the Malibu foothills, right on Mulholland Hwy. While riders flock to this institution on a daily basis, the real activity is on the weekends, most notably on Sunday, when celebrity sightings is common. Those who frequent The Rock Store are regulars Jay Leno (goes every Sunday), Matt LaBlanc, Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger and countless others. The little gift shop inside has two walls full of autographed photos from celebrities who have dropped in. Inside is just as rustic as the outside, and is usually filled with riders of all types. The outdoor patio is a great place to have breakfast or lunch and watch the different types of machines that roll in. The parking lot traditionally fills by mid-day, and bikes are often seen lining the roadway leading to the parking lot on busier days. The Rock Store is a fun place to go! If you are into motorcycles this is a place you need to check out. On the weekend there are hundreds of bikes. Anything from Scooters to Cruisers, to Sport bikes. You will find all kinds here. You might just even spot a celebrity or two. I myself have run into Jay Leno there. (Not literally! Lol) Whew! If you go on a weekend be prepared to find almost no car parking. It's very hard to find parking on the weekend. Except if you are on a bike. Hubby and I usually take our Honda VTX1800. As shown in my pictures. The Rock Stores food is good, not excellent though. They have your basic burgers, sandwiches, pastrami. But, it's just real fun to go there and hang out. On weekends they sometimes have a band come into play. more
