Very pleased with the service Tom provided. About 10:00am the sprocket which controls the chain sheared off the opener. Tom indicated he had two jobs and would head my way. By 4:00pm he had installed a new mechanism, tightened the spring, telfoned the rollers and guides, and adjusted the height of the safety beam (no higher than 6 inches off ground). more

Talking about EARNING your Business!!! Fast, Friendly, Great Prices and Tom sure knows his stuff. Anytime, anywhere he will be there. I was lucky enough to read a few reviews online about his work at 6:00 pm and called to make appt. for later in the week. He came out that night, changed out some broken springs, rearranged some struts, and tuned up the garage door and it has never worked better or quieter- all at a great price. He met my family and my son thought he was the Cowboy that protected Plano?.and as far as Garage Doors he probably is, but for the whole metroplex. I have a small business and I need to take a few lessons from Tom on the way he runs his shop and protects his customers. There is a reason Tom has so many customers for life?. more

I called Rocket and Tom was able to come fix my garage door about 2.5 hours form the time I called. He came and replaced the springs and rollers on the garage door. Very detailed and meticulous. Did not leave until the garage door opened and closed perfectly. He explained everything he was doing in detail. I recommend Rocket to anyone with garage door problems. more

Tom was repairing another garage door in my neighborhood. I asked if he had time to check on the issues that I had with my door. Despite the late hour he said that he would, he had excellent customer service, completed the work in a timely manner and with great workmanship. He even gave me tips on general maintenance of the door. more

We had used Tom for a couple of years on two different garage doors without any issue at all until recently. He was always on time and worked quickly but we ran into an issue when the ""eyes"" he replaced less than a month weren't working correctly and we asked him to come replace them or fix them. He refused saying it was due to the storms from the night before, even though I told him repeatedly that we had been having issues for a week or so before the storms. Once I mentioned that we had been having intermittent issues for over a week he got angry and wouldn't talk to me until I told him why I hadn't called him earlier. ( We didn't call because it wasn't a constant issue yet and we didn't want to have him come out and it work) When I then asked him why it was my fault all of a sudden he just kept repeating the question louder and louder........so needless to say we won't be using him again and we will have to call a new company to fix his work. more

My garage door wouldn't open Sunday afternoon....broken spring. I called Tom at Rocket Garage Door around 7:30 just to get an estimate. He was at my house within the hour. He replaced both springs, gave me a lifetime warranty on the springs and was done within a half hour. The garage door is the quietest it's ever been. If that's not service, I don't know what is. And might I add that it was a reasonable price with no upcharge for weekend evening service.... I recommend highly and would certainly use again. more

I was referred to Tom by a friend. He came out on the day I called him, diagnosed the problem (with the opener) right away, and was able to fix the problem quickly. I previously had another door contractor come out and he told me the opener couldn't be fixed. Tom fixed it with no issues. I'll definitely use him again. more

Found Tom online and then got a referral from a co-worker for him as well. Great guy and very knowledgeable in garage doors. Was able to come out the same day I called and had all the parts with him to get my door back to working. He even was able to make it quite!! more

Waking up to find out that your garage spring has sprung is never a good way to begin the day. I found Tom's service on the internet and was very pleased with his service. He was prompt, timely, knowledgeable, and provided outstanding service. Tom is very upfront about all costs and always lets you know how much something will cost before he proceeds. I'll definitely use and recommend Tom for future garage door needs. more

Tom was referred to me by a colleague at work who had very good things to say about Tom. I agree completely - Tom will get all my garage door business from now on. Customer service is paramount to Tom. His prices were far better than others, his work was professional, and he used high quality parts that he warrantied for life. He replaced gear assemblies and a circuit board on my door opener, adjusted the large springs to balance the door, and even gave me a lifetime warranty on the springs even though his company did not install them. Tom gives a discount for cash, which also helped reduce my cost. more

Jury is still out on customer service... 2/18/2012

Tom was hired by one of my clients to repair a garage door where the top panel had buckled, rendering the door useless. He did a fantastic job on the actual repair. He was quick, arrived when promised, and completed the job thoroughly and quickly. However, he left the house by securing all of the locks from inside the house and exited through the garage door, thereby locking everyone out of the home. When called upon for a solution, he was more invested in criticizing the locks on the home than fixing his error. He became abusive over the phone. We hired A-1 Locksmith to save the day, and plan to send the bill to Rocket Garage Door Service. I will update this review when we achieve final resolution. more
