ok, it's a bit far just to take your kid out. but if you need to do some shopping anyway or live nearby, go on a weekday morning. it's nice and quiet, no crowds, no traffic. take the free shuttle and ride around. go to kmart for little caesar's or jamba juice. get off at carter's or oshkosh and play with their toys. ride one of the little motorized deal-ios where you pop in a quarter and it lets your kid get jiggled around for a couple minutes. go to borders and read a book. if they're really good, take 'em to rocky mountain for a frozen chocolate banana or mcdonald's. relatively cheap and easy! more

Waikele Outlet stores have really good deals all the time. They also expanding and adding more stores constantly. There are two sides to this outlet area. On one side, there is Coach, BCBG MaxMaria, Perfumania, Banana Republic, Guess, BeBe, etc. On the otherside, there's Old Navy, Home Depot, Sports Authority, etc. So it is basically a one stop to do all your shopping. Save your money and do a shopping spree at the Outlet stores, you'll get double for your money. more

Separated into 2 areas with lots of shops on each side, traffic can get hectic on a busy day. The lower section has a bank, hardware store, and lots of food shops from fast food to dine-in, and much more. There are 2 ways in and just one way out so it can sometimes be slowly leaving the shopping area. The upper section has only one way in and out so the wait to get in can sometimes be long on weekends. But once you are in, parking is usually easy to find. The upper section has a lot more clothing shops ranging from very affordable like Everblue Outlet to very expensive at Off Saks Fifth Outlet. The stores are laid out on the outer perimeters so once you are out of your car, you can look at where you want to shop and go that way. If you are not interested in getting back into your car to drive to the other side, there is the convenience of a trolly that goes by every 15 minutes or so from the lower to the upper shops so you do not have to go through the hassle of getting into your car and fighting traffic to get to the other side. With lots of fast food places, clothing shops, computer store and even a hardware store, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone here. more

Waikele Outlet stores are plenty, including Banana Republic (my favorite), BCBG, Guess, Saks Fifth Ave, GNC, Everblues, perfume outlets, etc. It is a girl's shopping paradise! The shopping structure is well laid-out and there is plenty of parking. Although the drive is a little long for us who live in town, an occasion drive down is worth it because you can always find a good deal there. more
