My family decided to try Recipes based on a friend's recommendation. I ordered scrambled eggs with toast, potatoes and sausage. The eggs came to me hard and overcooked. When I told the waitress, she looked at me and said, ""You wanted them soft?"" Then she wanted to take my entire dish back, leaving me with nothing to eat. Had I let her do that, the rest of my meal would have been cold when it returned. The bigger issue was, Who in the world would expect hard, overcooked scrambled eggs to be the norm in any restaurant, let alone a breakfast restaurant??? When my 'new' eggs came back, they were indeed softer, but with NO flavor. Absolutely NO flavor. I even asked my husband to taste them and he was just as surprised and dumbfounded as I was. Also surprising was the lack of a children's menu. One can only assume the restaurant does this to make extra money by forcing children to order adult portions. The waitress didn't bother to explain the size of the pancakes (very large) - so we ordered two plates of pancakes and ended up taking one whole order home. We are very sorry we visited this restaurant this morning and feel we wasted forty dollars on a very mediocre meal. Next time we will go back to the tried and true Original Pancake House - that restaurant never disappoints.
Pros: Good location, no wait on Saturday morning
Cons: Scrambled Eggs Horrible, NO kids menu
