This office and it's staff are a complete joke...only its not funny. You are not greeted by polite people, you wait at least 45 minutes for every appointment, good luck getting one! I overheard one of the psychologists gossiping about a client to the receptionist!!! No patient priveledges here! I was disgusted. If you take medicine, good luck and be prepared to run out on a regular basis...they do not call in and even when pharmacy calls them they do not respond! I am lucky my son didn't hurt himself or someone else while in their care, Dr Ranjan never returned my emergency phone calls on the weekend. BEWARE OF THESE QUACKS... more

I was seen by the most beuatiful doctor in the world at Connections and when Dr Ranjan took over the practice everythin for me went downhill. I was and am in complete control or myself and my actions and very well maintaned. But while under the care of the office of Dr Ranjan I was over medicated and shuffled along they tried to medicate me even more when i raised my concerns. They over medicated my husband to a point where he had trouble preforming the day to day living activities and raising our very young son. We were charged for appointements that we never made and for appointments that they sadi we missed that were never made by us. Once we left there, we are doing GREAT!!! It Took us threatening to take them to court to get any part of our medical records so we could be treated somewhere else. Has we walked into the new doctor's office to my surprise what do i see but one of his fornt office personnel. and she asked me to keep it quiet that she used to work from him.\r \r NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I SEE THAT QUACK AOR PAY FOR ANYTHING HE IS CLAIMING THAT WE OWE HIM!!!!!!!! more

For 10 years I had seen 6 psychiatrists and finally I found one with common sense at Charak. more

I just got kicked out of the medina office yesterday after karen who is the addiction specialist told me i wasnt doing what I was supposed to.Mind you I have done evrything I was told.I kept clean and sober did my meetings and my groups.I was there for 5 months and within that time I have been discriminated against,my sexuality was told,All the hippa rules were broken and the patient confidentality...well there is none.I would also like to say that they allow people to sell there suboxen.They knowingly have some people in there that sell thier pills and they do nothing about it.They kicked me out because I missed group because my poppa died.Ive never in my life met a bunch of selfish doctors and nurses.Im moving forward in havin there liscense revoked.Im sorry to those who have been treated badly there.Im here to to say that Im better with out that place.If you dont go there being a addict you will certaintly leave one.All they like to do is shove pills down your throat for every emotion you feel. Dr. Rakesh Ranjan and his associates have been extremely helpful to me since the day I walked into the office! Both Beachwood and Medina's office have the top of the line employee's. Dr. Ranjan and his team have helped me beyond what I had expected. I would never be able to thank them for the journey I have taken towards the right path in my life. I don't see how anyone can think this man is anything but a great doctor. When I needed a psychiatrist he was highly recommended by the people at the hospital I was at. He has helped me regain my life and I will forever be grateful. I don't mind waiting for my appointment because I know that he is helping whoever he is with and cares about all his patients and their needs. The staff in the office are always professional and as nice as can be. It's sad to see a few negative people spread their hate mongering all over the internet just to feel make themselves feel better about their own insufficiancies. Pros: Caring and compassionate more

Ranjan, from the start seemed like a fake. I saw him NUMEROUS times over a few years due to being forced by my mother when I was younger. He asks questions, and doesn't listen to your response. You tell him you feel worse, better or the same, he ups your dose. DRASTICALLY. I saw him once a week, and every week he upped my dose of my original meds, and added something new. As a fourteen year old girl, this caused me to go from trouble teen to psychotic violent nut. He hospitalized me for two and a half weeks for asking him politely not to discuss my not even recent self mutilation in front of my 4 year old sister who looked up to me very much, because the fact that I CALMLY walked out of the room meant that I was ""unstable and impulsive"". While in the hospital, where he happened to work...I disclosed my sexual abuse story for the first time in my life...He tells me, very angrily mind you, that two people played a part, I wanted it and couldn't blame anyone else, and that I was just confused and had sexual urges because I was an attractive young lady. WTF! Then...I wasn't allowed to contact my mother for three days due to her hindering the healing process (his words), when a week prior he stated that my mother should be more actively involved. Pros: I'm better now that I've been out of his care :) Cons: Everything. more

being any kind of doctor is not a easy job. but a mental health doctor probably is one of the hardest ones there is. when a person has a mental illness a doctor can not cure them at best they can find a medication to control their symptoms. some of the reviews are written by people who at best are still experiencing mental symptoms that make things in the more extreme mode that what they really are. i have been to dr. ranjans office on and off for four years now. yes. he does take personal calls when he is in the middle of an apointment but he was born and raised in another country and that might be what is acceptable to do in his culture. but on the other hand maybe he just does it because he has an overbooked schedule. the waiting time has varied from a short period to a long period but that happens at quite of few doctors offices too to be fair. everyone has to remember he is human too and nobody is perfect. as for the female part of the staff of course it is going to SEEM like he is fireing more females because most of his staff are females. also it COULD be that he treats females differently because he is from india and that if i am correct is how their culture acts. but i am a female and he never treated me differently. he was allways professional to me. i WOULD recommend him to go to. Pros: he IS professional, he does research studies which comes in handy when you dont have medical insurance, he had many offices Cons: he doesnt have anger management classes that i know of that maybe some people who made some of these reviews need. lol! more

Dr. Ranjan and his staff, have done more to help his patients and the entire community, more than anyone else. It makes me sick to see the nasty lies that have been published here about Dr. Ranjan. Some people are so bored and so messed up, that they will say anything to get attention. Thank God that people are to smart to believe the trash. Those who lie about Dr. Ranjan need to get a life. Just because you are a failure in your personal life, you should not be jealous and try to make Dr. Ranjan look bad. For those who don't like Dr. Ranjan.....get a life!!!!! Tens of thousands have been helped by Dr. Ranjan and we will expose the liars for what they are!!!!!!!!! Dear Dr. Ranjan-Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for helping me when I did not have insurance. Getting and keeping me stable, has been such a blessing in my life!!!!! Sitting in the waiting room and talking to other patients and visitors of the office, I am not the only one that feels this way. Countless people agree with me and are disgusted by Dr. Ranjan. I have noticed the deragatory comments he has made to women and how he belittles them. Not only is he like that to his employees but to patients as well. I too, like the other comment on this board stated, was in an appointment with him with one of my clients when not once but 2 times he totally stopped the appointment to take personal phone calls! The one time he was on the phone for several minutes and when I tried to say something, he put his hand up to me and looked away. I couldn't belive it! Cons: Dr. Ranjan owns the practice more

AVOID HIM AND, IF HE HURTS YOU, TURN HIM INTO THE MEDICAL BOARD. I did, and what the others don't want you to know is that the charge I filed against him will be kept on his record permanently. And he's under investigation AGAIN. Pros: HE'S GOIN' DOWN! Cons: He still has a medical license. more

Moves patients through his office like cattle. Routinely waited 30 + minutes to be seen, once waited 2 1/2 hours to see the doctor. Asks the same six questions at every visit, then increases medications regardless of your answers. Laughed at us when we disagreed with his diagnosis. more
