This is a very dirty hole in the wall place. Food is just ok ( sambhar tastes like dal, coconut chutney is bland - you'd think they'd at least have the South Indian cuisine right ...

i can't believe the positive reviews !!! i called ahead of time and was assured that (mutton) biryani was freshly made...once i arrived i orderd the biryani that i called about, to my dissapointment the food was terrible...the rice was stale and appeared to be defrosted and warmed in the microwave, the mutton was sooo tough. i chewed it for 3-4 minutes and still could not chew it small enough to swollow. very bad experience...the prices are cheap because the food taste like crap !!!!\r the owner asked how was everything and i told her , " it was terrible " more

Still delicious. I'm not sure what happened with the couple of people posting negative reviews. I've been coming here for years and many friends of mine including families from India love this place as much as I do. It does focus more on Southern Indian food, so perhaps some visitors aren't used to the more aromatic flavors. more

I went to this place yesterday and this is by far the worst food I ever had. Not only the taste was horrible, food itself was not fresh. Its better to go somewhere else than trying food at this place more

A family- run "hole-in-the-wall" lunch spot. Delicious selection including southern-Indian dishes. Excellent lassi. Very friendly owners. I've been going here for years. more

Worst indian food I have ever had. I can't believe other reviewers gave it 3 stars... did they only drink water? Anyway, just stay away and go somewhere else. more

Intense flavors abound at this Indian buffets. Prices for the entrees, generally ranging from 7 to 10 bucks, cannot be beat. Be warned: the chicken tikka is laden with chiles and is NOT for the faint of heart. more

This is a very dirty hole in the wall place. Food is just ok ( sambhar tastes like dal, coconut chutney is bland - you'd think they'd at least have the South Indian cuisine right ), prices are no way cheap and the owner is full of himself. We are so not going back there again. more

Exceptional quality and affordability. 8/17/2005

This is one of the authentic south indian restaurants. Raja, hailing from South India, knows what he is doing. Some of the recipes are hard to find elsewhere. The music lovers can listen to the melodious tamil music while they eat. The place is center to lot of actions in Miami. Just a few steps away, you see Olympia theater. Beach, American airlines arena are within walkable distance. more

quaint tamil restaurant 6/14/2003

Probably the only restaurant serving traditional Tamil fast food, including vaddas, idli, masala dosa. All of it is prepared to order. The batter is made from scratch and isn't sitting around all day. The falooda - a milk, rosewater, and basil seed drink with icecream - is very good and can't be found anywhere else in miami. Raja also makes your garden variety north indian food - curries, birianis, tandooris, etc. However he prides himself on his vegetarian cooking that he serves, cafeteria style, on weekdays. I suggest calling in advance for the tamil specialties so that you're not kept waiting. Pros: uniqueness, chef's background, freshness Cons: small more
