EW. 8/3/2010

I would get more pleasure eating a piece of cardboard with vinegar poured on it than eating the "strawberry shortcake" (which tasted like that, and was probably spoiled). It was nauseating. I'd rather spend my money on paying to get my stomach pumped... AGAIN. \r \r Truly, what a disappointment. This place used to be a good restaurant (we've been here many times before). Tonight we brought a large group to RM from abroad, hoping to impress them and show them a good time in Champaign. Well, the service was nonexistent. We were left alone for long stretches. I had to ask THREE TIMES to get them to clean the food particles off our table. The waitress took our order, and then we waited maybe 15-20 min before she came back to tell us they were out of many of the items that people ordered. ...The food was as I already described. What can I say? Save your money, and your stomach, and try Bacaro's or Timpone's instead. more

Radio Maria is different but good 8/30/2009

This restaurant has great atmosphere and service, but it's not for those who are not adventurous eaters.... sometime I have a hard time finding something I know I will like. If you like to try new things, this is your place. more

Great menu selection, always interesting 6/13/2009

I have eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed what I got. I've only eaten in the dining room (not the tapas bar) but the appetizers and main courses are delicious and they have a good drink menu too. A definite recommend! more

Interesting Change of Pace 1/21/2008

We ate at Radio Maria on a Sunday night. We could only order from a tapas menu. There was a wide variety of choices and we were able to construct a meal which included the major food groups! Our server was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the extensive beer menu, also. It was a unique and memorable dining experience for our group. more

interesting menu 11/4/2006

Radio Maria is a cute restaurant. The menu is Cuban/Caribbean. I ordered and salmon sandwich. It was decent. My friends said their food was decent as well, although I thought it was a little overpriced. Our waiter was somewhat presumptuous which I find annoying, and he was very slow about refilling our glasses. It seemed like someone was trying too hard for the place to be different. I am not sure I will revisit, but I think it is worth one try. Pros: Different menu Cons: overpriced, service could be better more

Fantastic food, wonderful ambiance! 11/1/2005

One of the best places to eat in C-U. The menu is distinct and different- never the same. The atmosphere is great. Brought family from L.A. there and they thought it was fantastic- one of the best places in Central IL more
